Counselor and JC Information
Bellis Music Camp counselors and junior counselors (JCs) are the backbones of our camp and make it a memorable experience for all our campers. Each counselor and JC are responsible for a cabin of six campers, creating and implementing cabin themes and activities for the week, leading camp songs, but most importantly, making sure that all our campers are safe, healthy, and having fun.
Applications for junior counselors are open to 9th grade returning campers (grade during the 2023-2024 school year) and returning junior counselors. Counselor applications are open to anyone with at least one year of experience as Junior Counselor. Counselor and junior counselors are selected by the staff based on a number of criteria including: availability of spots, application responses, and prior counselor evaluations.
All counselors and junior counselors share the following qualities:
Mature, Responsible, Motivated, Demonstrate Leadership, Proactive
Can be trusted with the physical and emotional health and well-being of our campers.
Junior Counselors: $ 675.00
Counselors: No Cost
Application Requirements
Please do not apply if you cannot fully attend camp from Sunday, July 28th through Saturday, August 3rd, 2024
APPLICATION DEPOSIT: All applicants will be required to submit a $75 deposit with their applications.
Junior Counselor applicants: If you are selected as a Junior Counselor and accept your position, the $75 deposit will be applied to the cost of the camp. If you are placed on the waiting list and ultimately not selected, the $75 deposit will be refunded by July 27, 2024. If you accept your position, but are not able to attend camp and choose to withdraw at a later date, the $75 deposit is non-refundable.

Acceptance Procedures
All applications for counselor and junior counselor will be received online until April 1, 2024.
Applications will be reviewed by camp staff and counselor and junior counselors will be notified by email if they are selected by mid-May. Those not selected will be placed on a waiting list and notified if space becomes available.
